But the market is also bursting with cultural events all week and around the clock: Concerts, dance, spontaneous street performances, revues, good food and drink, high spirits at the restaurants, life in the courtyards, storytelling, carnival rides, and horse and sleigh rides.\nWith horse and sleigh come farmers and haulers from Sweden, Østerdalen, Hedmark, Gudbrandsdalen, Gauldal, Selbu, and Tydal. They stay at inns in the town center. Here, and in the other courtyards, you are warmly welcome to an experience that will give you the feeling of stepping into another time.\n
