We can offer you a wonderful journey from Trondheim to Røros with return to Trondheim after a memorable day at Rørosmartnan.
Rørosmartnan combines folk life, trade, culture and traditions in a way you cannot experience anywhere else.
The UNESCO World Heritage mining town of Røros provides a unique setting for this popular festival.
It is first and foremost a trade market, with approximately 250 exhibitors on the streets and in Martnashallen. But the market is also packed with cultural events throughout the week and around the clock: concerts, dancing, spontaneous performances in the streets, revue, fine food and drink, lively atmosphere at refreshment venues, activity in the courtyards, historical presentations, fairground attractions and horse and sleigh rides.
With horse and sleigh come farmers and cart drivers from Sweden, Østerdalen, Hedmark, Gudbrandsdalen, Gauldal, Selbu and Tydal. They stay at farmhouses in the town centre. Here, and in the other courtyard spaces, you are warmly welcome to an experience that will give you the feeling of stepping into another time.
